God is Trinitarian
St Peter’s is unashamedly a Church focused on God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.

God is revealed in Jesus
We believe that God is revealed to us uniquely through Jesus Christ and our understanding of Him comes through diligent reflection on the Bible, the life of prayer, worship and service.

God is revealed in the Bible
The Bible is a human document inspired by God and is our primary source of understanding of God and the world God created. Interpretation of the Bible is a community exercise and we seek to understand through the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We respect the work of scholars and most especially those who are believers seeking understanding.

St Peter’s shares in the mainstream values and beliefs of Anglicans around the world.
The Gospel is to be proclaimed
We believe that the Church has been reformed and that God is reforming it in every generation. Our task is to be faithful in our time and to share the glorious knowledge of the love of God in Jesus with all whom we encounter.

The Gospel is to be lived
Christian Discipleship involves deep commitment to Christ Jesus.
Commitment is reflected in our regullar joining together for worship, fellowship and prayer. In an ideal world that would be at least once per week.

We encourage all members to find two places of service the first being within the community of the Church and the second being in the wider community.

Discipleship is a whole way of life in which we support each other. It is not always easy but we aim to life our faith every minute of every day.
Giving is Good News

All things come from God and therefore to God we must return them. All that we have belongs to God. We are merely guardians and stewards. A loving response to God is to use the resources God has given us for His Kingdom as well as for our own well being and pleasure.

All members of St Peter’s are encouraged to give realistically and proportionately from their income.

The love of Jesus at the heart of our community

Jesus said “Love one another as I have loved you and by this all will know that you are my disciples.”

Our aim is to be a community of love that is so attractive than none will doubt our commitment to Jesus.
