St Peter’s is led and run by a large team of people.

Our model of leadership is based on the model of Jesus himself who came to serve not to be served.

We believe that all Christians are called to serve and some are called to lead in various ways. Some are apostles, teachers, pastors, evangelists, administrators and many other roles.

The Church Of England binds us to a Principal Leader. The  legal structures require certain officers to take particular legal responsibilities however we aim to have a very flat and non-hierarchical approach to leadership that all may find their gift and exercise it under God.

The PCC is the policy making unit within the structure. The Leadership Team have responsibility for leading the Church in Christian witness and outreach which includes social outreach, evangelism and pastoral outreach.

The aim of our leadership is to enable and equip all to be disciples and to serve Jesus in the wider community.

Pastoral care to the Church Community comes principally in our small groups where we receive mutual support.

Pastoral care of the wider community is what the whole Church Community offers as we serve our neighbours in their hours of need.
